The Hickory Foundation YMCA hosts this Turkey Trot as a fundraiser for its community programs, so the morning has a purposeful feel alongside the holiday spirit. The course offers both a shorter and a longer distance option, plus a youth fun run, all starting from the C.O. Miller Teen Center in Hickory.

Packet pickup runs the two days before the race at the same teen center, with race-morning pickup available as well. The organizers strongly recommend picking up early to avoid the morning rush before the start.
