About the Hickory Flat Rebel Run 5K and Fun Run - 5th Annual
The course runs through the streets of Hickory Flat itself, starting and finishing in a school gym parking lot on Spruce Street. There are both a 5K and a shorter fun run option, so people come out at a range of paces. Age group awards go deep into the field, which draws competitive runners alongside people just out to participate.
Same-day registration is available on race morning. The race is put on by a local nonprofit that channels the proceeds back into the community school, covering things like classroom grants and student achievement rewards.
