About the Heroes of America Marathon/Half Marathon/5K
Broadway behind the Columbus Marriott is where the course begins and ends, routing south through downtown streets and out onto the Riverwalk along the river. The longer distance carries runners through Fort Benning before looping back out and returning to the start. The terrain is mostly flat with occasional small rises. The Riverwalk section is open and scenic along the water.
Packet pickup is offered at the Marriott the evening before the race, with a second window available race morning. The start area is right behind the hotel, so you can walk out and be ready quickly. The military relay option requires base access credentials arranged ahead of time, separate from the main race logistics.
