About the Heroes for Heroes 5K Obstacle or 5k Run/Walk
Heroes for Heroes runs through Civic Park in Reynoldsburg, and it comes in two very different shapes. One route is paved and smooth, open to strollers, winding through the park with no obstacles. The other is a team or solo obstacle course with walls, crawls, mud pits, water crossings, tire flips, and a sled pull. The two options share a cause but feel like entirely different mornings.
The race is a fundraiser organized by the city's parks department and police division, benefiting a nonprofit that supports veterans and military families. Public safety and military personnel run alongside civilians, which shapes the crowd in a way most local 5Ks do not.
