About the Heroes and Villains Half Marathon- Fort Worth
The course runs around Marine Creek Lake, so the water stays in view for much of the race. The route is flat enough that costumes are genuinely practical, and a lot of runners show up in full superhero or villain gear. There is a costume contest before the starting gun, which sets the tone for the rest of the morning.
Packet pickup opens early on race day at the start area, and a DJ keeps things moving through the post-race celebration. A snack and refreshment tent is set up at the finish, and the awards ceremony happens right there so you can stick around without going far.
