About the 12th Annual “Heroes Among Us” 5K Color Run
This is a color run tied to Suicide Prevention Month, so the crowd tends to be mixed, with people running alongside people walking alongside people who just want to be there. Age division awards are offered, but the overall feel is more about showing up than finishing order. Expect to get colorful powder on you by the end.
Packet pickup runs the afternoon before the race at the Center for Life Resources on Mulberry Street in Brownwood. Race-morning pickup opens before the start, so there is a backup if the evening before does not work.
