About the Hermes Half a Half Marathon
The course runs along the metro park near the marina at Emerald Necklace, a lakefront setting that makes for a scenic stretch of road in late winter. The distance sits at exactly half a half marathon, which makes it a practical target for runners building toward longer races or just looking for something shorter than a traditional half.
Early packet pickup the day before happens at the Hermes Sports office in Tremont, which the organizers genuinely recommend over the race-morning lines outside the marina. Walkers get an earlier start time than runners, so the two groups have a bit of space between them on the course.

The Hermes Half a Half Marathon has been held every year since at least 2022. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
