About the 10th Annual Heritage 5k: Turkey Trot & Kids Turkey Dash
The race runs out of a middle school campus and is open to the wider school district and surrounding community. There is a kids dash alongside the main event, and team challenges give the morning a bit of a group-competition feel. It is a Thanksgiving-season race, so expect families out in force.
The school itself serves as the hub for the event, which makes parking and the start area fairly self-contained. The organizers run a donation-based discount at checkout, where a small contribution to their parent-teacher organization earns a reduction off your entry fee.
