About the Herd the Curd
The race starts and finishes at Highland Farm, and the course has a farm-country feel to it. Both distance options draw runners and walkers out into the open, rural terrain around Honesdale. The event raises money for a memorial fund in honor of a local runner, and that cause has been central to it from the start.
Cheese curds and chocolate milk are waiting at the finish, which is exactly what the name promises. It is a small detail that makes the post-race stretch feel different from most.
