About the Her Fight Is Our Fight- Pink Power 5K
This race is built around a personal story. The organizer is a breast cancer survivor who started it to raise money for the Stephanie Vest Foundation, which supports local women going through their own fights. The entry fee goes straight to the foundation, and vendors on site also contribute a share of their sales. Before the race starts, there are speakers, singers, and a prayer gathering near the start line.
A food truck from the Brunch Ladies is on site after the race, and there are raffle baskets and family activities spread through the event. The morning has a lot going on beyond the running itself, so arriving with time to look around before the start is worth it.
