The course runs at a racing speedway, which makes for an unusual setting underfoot. The track surface and open grounds give it a different feel from a road or trail race, and the scale of the venue means there is plenty of room to spread out. Water is available near the start and at the finish. The race benefits a children's charity connected to the speedway.
