About the 2026 Heidi Keen Classic Barley Bar Relay
This is a team relay held on main street in Palouse, timed around the Palouse Days festival. Each runner completes a short loop and then chugs a fizzy drink before handing off to the next teammate. Non-alcoholic and gluten-free options are available. Costumes are encouraged, and prizes go to the fastest team, the fastest individual chugger, and the best-dressed squad.
Packet pickup happens at the start line on race morning before the start window closes. Teams register together under a single captain, and each runner completes a digital waiver before race day. Race proceeds support a scholarship for a local high school graduate going into a STEM field.
