About the Hearts for RMHKC Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 1 Mile Walk, & Kid's Fun Run

The race is held at English Landing Park in Parkville, benefiting the local Ronald McDonald House that serves Kansas City families. Several distance options make it work for most of the family, from a short kids' run up through longer road distances. The park setting along the river keeps the surroundings pleasant regardless of which distance you choose.

Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at an Orange Theory Fitness location in Parkville, then again the following midday at the park near the start. If you miss both, there is race-morning pickup at the park as well. Look for the white tent near the shelter house.

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 39:10, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:11:26, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Hearts for RMHKC Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 1 Mile Walk, & Kid's Fun Run a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 252 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Hearts for RMHKC Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, 1 Mile Walk, & Kid's Fun Run?
