About the Heart Healthy 5K and Fun Walk

The course starts and finishes at a memorial arch on campus, with a route that is new this year. The surroundings are typical of a small college campus during homecoming weekend, so there is some foot traffic and energy around the start area. Pharmacy students run educational tables near registration, which gives the morning a distinctly collegiate feel.

Registration opens in front of Old Main the morning of the race, and parking is available at a nearby seminary lot a short walk away. After finishing, physical therapy students offer free injury screens, massage, cupping, and stretching on-site. There is also a raffle drawing at the end, and you need to stick around to claim a prize if your name is called.
