About the Hawks Cay Heroes Salute 5k Run/Walk
The course runs through Duck Key itself, so you are passing through a small island the whole way, with water never far off. The race is built around honoring those who serve, covering uniformed service members, first responders, and veterans, and many runners show up in patriotic or service-related gear, which gives the morning a different feel than a typical road race.
Packet pickup is the evening before on the Marina Event Lawn, where there is also a promenade event happening at the same time. Race-morning pickup opens early, before the national anthem signals the start shortly after.
