About the Haunted Oak 5K
The course runs through a country club property on the edge of Homer Glen, and the organizers lean hard into the Halloween angle. Actors dressed as zombies are stationed along the route, and costumes are part of the point. After the run, there is beer, soda, and bloody marys at a cash bar, and a costume awards ceremony with several categories.
Packet pickup and race-morning registration both happen at the country club, so you do not need to make a separate trip the day before. The event benefits a local Rotary club, with proceeds going toward community and international charitable programs.
