About the Rotary Trick or Trot 5K - Run & Walk
This is a Halloween-themed race built around costumes as much as the course itself. Runners and walkers both show up, many in full costume, and there is a costume competition alongside the usual age-group awards. The atmosphere leans toward a Halloween block party with a race inside it, complete with music, treats at the finish, and photo opportunities along the way.
The event is organized through a partnership between the local Rotary club and a running club, so it has a genuine community footing. Costumes are not just welcome, they are part of how people compete. Families, strollers, walking groups, and costumed running crews all tend to share the course.
