About the Harvestfest 5k

The course runs out and back along a gravel road beside a river, so water is with you the whole way. The surrounding terrain is open enough that you get long views, and the footing is packed gravel rather than technical trail. Strollers can manage it, though the gravel section is worth knowing about ahead of time.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at Canyon Elementary School, where the race also starts and finishes. Same-day pickup is available before the start. After the race, the school grounds fill up with a chili cook-off, a pie eating contest, a dessert auction, a costume parade, and a free chili lunch, so there is reason to hang around.
