About the Harvest Hustle 5k Run/Walk
The course starts at the Putnam County YMCA and heads out to the Vandalia Trail Head, so most of the route runs along a trail rather than roads. It is a first-year race, which tends to mean a smaller, neighborly field. Strollers are welcome, and the pace of the morning reflects that.
After the race, the YMCA hosts a fall festival in the afternoon with trunk-or-treat, food trucks, vendors, hayrides, and kids activities. The two events are separate by several hours, so you have time to clean up before heading back.
