About the Harvest 5k/10k/Half Marathon
The course runs out and back along a crushed limestone trail that follows the Yough River. The surface is smooth and the terrain is flat throughout, so the effort comes from distance rather than elevation. It reads like a rails-to-trails conversion, with the river alongside and trees overhead for most of the route.
Parking is at a trailhead on Donner St. Registration opens early on race morning, and the half marathon goes off before the shorter distances. Proceeds from the race benefit a local school parent-teacher organization.
