About the Hartford Apple Festival Run/Walk
The course runs out and back along a state route east of the start, turning at the halfway point and returning to the same spot where it began. The road is flat and straight, and the surroundings are rural. Both distance options share the same route and finish line, so the field stays together longer than on a loop course.
Registration opens race morning at the pavilion behind Hartford Community Church, just off the main intersection where the start line is set up. The race is part of the broader Apple Festival, so there is activity around the area beyond the running. Bring something from a past festival and you are entered in a drawing at the event.
