About the Harrington Park Fall Spectacular - 24th Annual

The course runs through the borough itself, mostly flat with residential streets giving it a neighborhood feel. There is a live DJ at the start and a guided group stretch before the gun goes off, which makes the pre-race atmosphere a little more active than most small-town road races. Aid stations are placed along the way, and chip timing tracks everyone through the finish.

Awards happen indoors afterward, in a gymnasium, which is a welcome detail in fall weather. Results are posted with both chip and gun time, though gun time drives the award placements.
