About the 14th Annual Happy Jack 5K

The course begins at Germonds Park, heads out onto Germonds Road, and winds through a quiet residential neighborhood before looping back the same way. It is a road race on flat suburban streets, clearly marked with signs and staffed by volunteers and local police at key points. Runners and walkers follow the same general route, with walkers taking a slightly shorter path.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local venue, with race-morning pickup also available. Parking is in the lower lot at Germonds Park, with bathrooms on the west side of that lot. The race honors a family's son and raises money for scholarships given to students who have lost a sibling, so the atmosphere around the start and finish reflects that.
