About the Hansen Dam Splash 'n' Dash 1K/5K

The course runs through Hansen Dam Recreation Area, a large public park with an aquatic center at its heart. The route itself is a straightforward run through park grounds, more scenic than technical, with a pool on the horizon the whole way.

After the run, the park opens up for the rest of the day. There is pool access, kayaking and surf instruction, a splash ball tournament, and a raffle later in the afternoon. Packet pickup and bib collection happen the morning of, and a DJ is going at the start line before the first runner sets off.
