About the Halloween Hustle 5K
The Halloween Hustle starts and finishes at Smyrna High School on Halloween morning, and costumes are strongly encouraged. Runners and walkers show up in everything from ghost sheets to superhero capes. The race benefits the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition, founded in honor of Tabitha Gott, and that mission sits at the center of why people come out.
The school grounds serve as the gathering point, so parking and the start area are in one place. Post-race, the crowd tends to linger, which makes sense when half the field is dressed up and there is a cause to celebrate together.
