About the Halloween Howler
The Halloween Howler is a costume-friendly morning race that winds through Lake Elmo, organized by and benefiting a local girls cross country team. Costumes are welcome but optional, and the course draws a mix of people running for a good time and runners out for a genuine effort.
The cross country team shows up on race day to time, run, and cheer. A kids race goes off before the main event, and there is candy at the finish. Proceeds go directly to the team to cover equipment and travel costs.
