About the Haliwa-Saponi 5k
This race runs as part of the Haliwa-Saponi tribe's annual Pow-Wow gathering, so the atmosphere around the start and finish is unlike most 5ks. The course begins and ends at the tribe's Multi-Purpose building on Capps Farm Road, and the surrounding event gives the whole morning a distinct cultural character.
Packet pickup is offered the evening before the race at the same building on Capps Farm Road, with race-morning pickup available as well for those arriving fresh.

The Haliwa-Saponi 5k has been held every year since at least 2017. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
