About the Half-Moon Outfitters Moonshiner 5k Night Trail Race

This is a night trail race through Paris Mountain State Park, run entirely after dark. Every runner is required to bring a light source, headlamp or otherwise, so the field moves through the woods in a line of bobbing lights. The trails are real singletrack, not groomed paths, and the darkness changes the feel of terrain you might otherwise breeze through.

Packet pickup runs the day before and the day of at the Half-Moon Outfitters store on East Stone Avenue, with a window at the park itself on race evening. Parking at Paris Mountain is tight, and the organizers are serious about carpooling. Plan your ride before you go.
