About the Hair of the Bear 15K & 5K

The longer course starts and ends at ShawneeCraft Brewing Company, spending its middle stretch on the McDade Recreational Trail along the Delaware River, a hard-packed off-road path, before returning to pavement. The shorter course stays almost entirely on paved roads around the Shawnee Inn property. Neither route is particularly flat or hilly in character, but the trail section gives the longer distance a different feel underfoot.

Packet pickup happens race morning at the on-site tent, and you need to be checked in before the start. After the race, there is a brunch buffet at the finish for runners, plus live music inside the brewery. Spectators can buy food and beer on-site as well.
