About the GWTC 5K for Sickle Cell Anemia & Tim Simpkins 1 Mile
The course runs through a historic neighborhood and is known for being fast, with enough volunteer support along the way that you rarely feel alone on the route. Race proceeds go to a foundation supporting families affected by Sickle Cell Disease, so the purpose behind the morning is real and specific. Both a mile option and a longer distance are offered.
