About the Gunner's K-9 Veterans Day 5K
The course runs from a veteran-owned brewery in Dripping Springs, making the start and finish line a little more interesting than a school parking lot. The surrounding Hill Country terrain tends toward gentle rolls rather than flat pavement, and dogs are clearly part of the spirit of the day.
After the run, the grounds stay busy. Food trucks, live music, local vendors, and craft beer from the host brewery fill out the rest of the morning. The festival runs alongside the race, so there is no rush to leave once you cross the finish.
