About the Gulf Coast Veterans Association 5K Run/Walk + 1 Mile Fun Run
The course starts and finishes at Long Beach Town Green, a park in the center of town. It is a veterans-themed race with a distinctive weighted category where some runners carry a tactical vest or rucksack, and there are age group and overall awards on top of that. The shorter distance option is geared toward families. Post-race, there is food at the park.
Packet pickup appears to run race morning at Town Green before the start. The post-race awards and celebration happen right there at the park, so there is no need to travel once you finish.
