About the Grove City College XC Alumni 5k & 3k Fun Run
This is a homecoming weekend race held on the college's cross country course, open to alumni who ran for the program. The atmosphere sits somewhere between a workout and a reunion, with music over the loudspeakers and running times on the scoreboard. Fully automatic timing means the racing is taken seriously, even if the evening is mostly about catching up.
Registration and the post-race potluck both happen in a large tent behind the press box. After the men's race there is a chili cookout, and alumni are encouraged to bring a dish to share. Parking is in the lot beside the Fieldhouse, and locker rooms with showers are available in the Physical Learning Center nearby.
