About the Grind For The Mind

The course loops Warminster Community Park and stops at fitness stations along the way, where participants do exercises like burpees, squats, lunges, and a farmers carry before moving on. It reads more like a workout built around a run than a straight road race, and the park setting keeps it grounded and accessible on the feet.

Packet pickup is available at a local fitness studio in the days before the race, with a final window at the park on race morning before the start. The park pavilion serves as the gathering point, and check-in opens early enough to settle in before things get underway.

Common Questions About the Grind For The Mind

Will I finish last at the Grind For The Mind?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3 Miles field finished slower than 35:57, and the last recorded finisher came in around 54:20, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Grind For The Mind a good first 3 Miles?

It is a small race (85 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Grind For The Mind?

The 3 Miles winner ran 22:16 while the median finisher took 35:57. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
