About the Griffin 5k
The course circles Lake Mokoma on a mix of pavement, gravel, and trail, so the surface changes underfoot as you go. The lake sits up in the Endless Mountains at real elevation, which means the air is cooler than you might expect for a summer race, and the surroundings are heavily wooded. The route is mostly flat, with a water stop around the halfway mark.
The race starts from the beach parking lot, and there are refreshments and medical support at the finish. Race-morning registration is available in the window before the start.
