About the Greenie Ghoul 5k Fun Run
This is a Halloween fun run put on by a local amateur hockey association, so costumes are part of the scene. The course starts and finishes at the community arena and offers a full run alongside a shorter option for younger or less ambitious participants. Expect a neighborhood crowd more interested in costumes than finishing order.
Registration opens in the late afternoon before the start, right at the arena, so there is no separate pickup day to plan around. You pay on the spot when you sign in. Post-race, you are already at the rink, which is a natural gathering place for the hockey families and costumed kids who make up most of the crowd.
