About the Green Valley Lake 5k/10k/& Half Marathon
The course starts with a flat loop along the lake before climbing steadily up a paved road that gives way to a forest service dirt road. There is one real push to a viewpoint overlooking the high desert and surrounding mountains, and the half marathon adds a second pass on the lakeside loop near the finish to make up the distance. Underfoot you get pavement, then packed dirt, then trail.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at a local bar and social club on Green Valley Lake Road, with race-morning pickup available at the start. Post-race, the awards and food move to the community garden on Main Street, where there is live music and street tacos available for purchase.
