About the Greater Buffalo Track Club Grand Island Half Marathon
The course runs out and back along the Niagara River through Beaver Island State Park, and most of it is closed to traffic. The terrain is flat road the whole way, with the river alongside much of the route. It is a straightforward half marathon without technical sections or significant elevation to manage.
Bib pickup happens race morning in the main parking lot right at the start and finish area, so there is no separate trip the day before. After the race, there is a party next to the finish line with food, drinks, and music.

The Greater Buffalo Track Club Grand Island Half Marathon has been held every year since at least 2017. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
