About the Great River Bridge Race

The course crosses the Mississippi River on the Great River Bridge, which is normally closed to foot traffic, so the views out over the water are the main draw. The route runs through downtown Burlington before returning to the Port of Burlington, where the race begins and ends. Several distance options are available, including a timed race and an untimed walk for those who just want the crossing.

Packet pickup runs the day before at Burlington City Hall, with race-morning pickup available at the Port of Burlington start area. A restaurant just across from the finish line opens for drinks before the race and serves food after, so there is somewhere nearby to sit down once you are done.
