About the Great Futures 5K & 10K
The course runs along the Nampa Greenbelt on the Wilson Trail, a paved path that makes for a smooth road-surface run through the area. Both distance options share the same trail, so the out-and-back shape keeps things straightforward. The race benefits a local youth club, and that connection is woven into the whole morning.
Parking and the finish line are both at Centennial Elementary, which also serves as the start area. The organizers encourage runners to bring gently used shoes to donate, supporting a drive to get kids outfitted for the school year. There is an option to drop donations beforehand at Fleet Feet locations in the area.

The Great Futures 5K & 10K has been held every year since at least 2025. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
