About the Great Bay 5K
The course runs past the shores of Great Bay, and the terrain trends mostly downhill, which tends to pull runners along faster than they expect. It closes out the Seacoast Road Race Series each fall, and the proceeds go toward conservation and stewardship of the estuary the course runs beside.
Post-race, there are tear strips on the bibs that can be redeemed for beer or cider at participating local spots, which gives the morning a bit of an after-party feel even if you head out early.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Great Bay 5K has been held every year since at least 2020. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
