About the Grayslake Central Turkey Trot
The course starts and finishes on the high school track, which gives the race a contained, athletic feel. Proceeds go toward the school's athletic programs, so there is a local purpose behind the entry fee. Top overall finishers earn trophies, and age group places are recognized as well.
Packet pickup happens the weekend of the race, with an option the evening before and again on race morning, both inside the school's Field House near the track and field entrance. Parking is in the lot north of the school off Hillside Avenue.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a decent-sized field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The Grayslake Central Turkey Trot has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
