About the Grasshopper Mile Race
This is a mile race for elementary-aged kids, held on a portion of the high school and middle school cross country course at South Adams High School. The finish runs through the school's cross country arch. Spikes are fine out on the course but come off before going inside. The race runs ahead of the school's larger invitational meet, so the atmosphere is active from the start.
Parking is in the north lot, and bringing a confirmation email gets you in without a parking fee. Bathrooms are at the football field nearby. Awards go to the top finishers in each age group, split by grade level and gender, with placement based on age rather than strictly by grade.
