About the 12th Annual Granite City 5k
This race is a tribute to veterans, organized by a handful of local civic groups working together. The route runs through Barre, a small city built on granite quarrying, so the surroundings have a working-town feel rather than a park setting. It draws people who are there for the cause as much as the running.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.
