About the Grafton Run for the Roses 5K
The course runs out of Grafton Lakes State Park, follows the park entrance road and a stretch of the main highway, loops around a town park, and comes back in on a different road. The first half trends downhill, which feels generous until the second half, when you pay it back going up. Water is available around the midpoint.
The finish is in the park, and there are showers nearby. The park has a beach and picnic area, so it is worth arriving with a bag and staying past the finish. Awards go out at the finish line shortly after the race wraps up.
