About the Grady's Superhero Run
The course begins outside Knotty Marie's on Waterloo Creek Drive, heads west along the road, and loops back to the start. It is a straightforward out-and-back through a small rural town. The race honors Grady Lundgren-Hammel, a boy from Dorchester who died after fighting a rare cancer, and proceeds support families dealing with medical hardship and a local scholarship in his name.
After the run, the gathering continues at Knotty Marie's yard, with a bounce house, kids' games, a DJ, and a light meal served on a free-will donation basis. It is a post-race spread that feels more like a neighborhood cookout than a finish-line tent.
