About the Going Bananas Run - Duluth

Everyone runs in a banana suit, so the course looks exactly like what it sounds. The route is short enough that walkers finish comfortably, and the main drama is the Gorilla Challenge: the field gets a head start, then someone in a gorilla costume is released to chase everyone down. Beating the Gorilla earns a special prize, though finishing without beating it is perfectly fine.

Packet pickup and check-in happen on-site before the start, so you can show up race-day ready. Afterward, the event area stays open for food, drinks, and sponsor activities, and the post-race crowd tends to stay a while, still wearing their suits.
