About the Gobbler 5k Fun Run/Walk
This is an untimed event put on by a local revitalization group, so the pressure is off entirely. The route follows the same course used for Houtzdale Days, which means it winds through familiar town streets. All paces are treated the same, and the proceeds go toward a memorial pavilion project that the organizing group has been working on in phases.
Check-in is at the David Wulderk Memorial Pavilion on Good Street before the start. There is a prize drawing tied to in-person registration, and the pavilion serves as the gathering point for the morning.
