About the Girls on the Run 5K Somerville
The course starts at a downtown street corner and winds through Somerville, with chip timing keeping things honest. It draws a mix of participants connected to the Girls on the Run program, so the atmosphere on course leans toward encouragement. Water stops are out on the route and again at the finish.
Packet pickup and race-morning registration happen on the Somerset County Courthouse lawn before the start. Post-race refreshments are available for runners. Parking information for the area is posted through the downtown Somerville site.

The Girls on the Run 5K Somerville has been held every year since at least 2012. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Oct 18, 2026.
