About the Gingerbread Lane 5K & 10K - Fort Worth
The course runs through the parks and greenbelts around Marine Creek Lake, so you get water views and paved paths rather than roads and traffic. The route stays relatively flat, which keeps things moving. A DJ plays holiday music the whole time, and there is a costume contest for anyone who wants to lean into the season.
Holiday cookies and milk are out at the finish, along with a rally tent where awards get announced. Aid stations are spaced through the course with water. The energy at the finish area tends to run high, partly because the DJ is calling out runners by name as they come in.
